On Saturday night there was a huge jackpot to be won from one of the USA two inter-state lotteries and it was one lucky ticket holder, a retired fireman, who won the $141 million Powerball jackpot. The huge Powerball jackpot had rolled over and over, draw after draw and was finally won after retired fireman, Frank Griffin, 66, from North Carolina matched all five main lottery numbers plus the Powerball.

After he and his wife travelled to the lottery headquarters to claim their massive lottery prize, golf enthusiast, Griffin said he intended on getting in many more rounds of his favourite sport now that he money. The lucky Powerball winner has decided to take the lump sum payment which is approximately $47 million after taxes. When asked about how he intended to spend his new found wealth, lottery winner Griffin said he plans to take a holiday with his family, maybe to Hawaii but beyond that will need some time for the news to sink in.

Lucky lottery winner, Griffin had been out buying gas and had a spare $5 left over in his pocket so he decided to make the most important investment of his life.
