Some of the most vulnerable people in Northern Ireland are to benefit from a £40 million cash injection from the Big Lottery Fund. Two national groups will use the lottery cash to help young and old people in Northern Ireland. One group will use their lottery grant to support vulnerable young people and the other will help isolated older members of the community.

Last night the National Lottery had a £8,134,820 rollover jackpot to play for as no ticket holders managed to match all six main lottery numbers on Wednesday. However there were four rollover jackpot winners from last night’s draw who took home £2,033,705 each, meaning that the jackpot is reset for the Wednesday night draw.

Last week’s £12.4million EuroMillions jackpot winners were announced earlier this week as Nigel and Sharon Mather from Sale in Manchester as once again the cash from Europe has made its way to the shores of the UK. Their winning lottery ticket was bought on holiday after Sharon’s dad, John Morris, paid for the couple and their two young children to take a caravan holiday in Rhyl.
