We all know that the UK National Lottery gives millions of pounds each year to good causes throughout Britain, helping all sorts of different charities and associations cash to help them build new facilities, restore national treasures and even help children who fallen outside of the education system but the UK National Lottery isn’t the only lottery to help the needy. So far this year the Colorado Lottery has helped needy causes to the sum of $120 million too.
Just like the Big Lottery Fund the Colorado Lottery distributes funds which are raised from Powerball lottery ticket sales to associations who would otherwise go without. Some of these needy causes have included:
- A lottery grant which was recently awarded to the Evans Conservation Trust was used to build the Freedom Dog Park. The three-acre park includes bluegrass, areas for separation of larger dogs and smaller more timid dogs and also a dog agility course.
- In another award by the Colorado Lottery a small town had its children’s park renovated. Officials from Boardwalk Park in Windsor, Colorado used Lottery funds to complete a 2.7-mile trail around the park and build a new playground to accommodate children of various ages and abilities.
- An entire park and recreational facility was built from scratch in South Colorado using funds which were collected from the Colorado Lottery. Reynolds Landing is an outdoor recreational facility provides a great resting spot for hikers, cyclists, roller-bladers, horseback riders and other users of the area.
So remember, just like when you buy tickets for the UK National Lottery, when you buy tickets for other lotteries around the world some of your cash may be helping good causes too. You can play lotteries around the world here at Online Lotto by choosing one of the lotteries from the tabs above.
