A park in Sunderland is to be given a £2.4 million facelift courtesy of the National Lottery’s Lottery Heritage Fund and Big Lottery Fund. The Edwardian park was awarded the lottery cash to completely regenerate and renovate the site in a project which will take around 18 months.

Sumburgh Head lighthouse in the Shetland Isles is to be restored to its former glory thanks to money from the National Lottery’s Heritage Lottery Fund. Not only is this iconic Scottish lighthouse to be restored with lottery cash but it will also be opened up to the public.
Jewellery to be displayed with lottery cash

Gold jewellery which was discovered at a special Anglo-Saxon grave in a farmer’s field in Cleveland will be displayed at the Kirkleatham Museum courtesy of cash from the Heritage Lottery Fund. The jewellery is to be displayed with lottery cash and will be the focal point of a new Anglo-Saxon gallery in the museum.
