Ohio to sell Powerball Lottery tickets

A recent decision by Commissioners at the Ohio Lottery has paved the way for the US state of Ohio to sell Powerball Lottery tickets in addition to the Mega Millions tickets that it currently offers to its players. This is yet another state which will sell both the Powerball Lottery tickets and Mega Millions tickets in a move which many believe to be another step towards a genuine US national lottery which could then pave the way for a world lottery.

Powerball jackpots get smaller

As more US states are selling both Mega Millions and Powerball Lottery tickets there are fears that we could have seen then end of the $300 million jackpots. Because there will be more players and more tickets sold for the Powerball Lottery each week there will be more combinations of lottery numbers bought making the probability of creating a jackpot winner greater more often, which in turn will make the Powerball jackpots get smaller.

Powerball tickets to be sold in Texas

Only yesterday we brought you the news that the state of Iowa is to introduce ticket sales of the Mega Millions multi-state lottery from the beginning of next year and now it looks like yet another US state is to start selling both Powerball and Mega Millions lottery tickets. If all goes well and there are no complications Powerball tickets will be sold in Texas from the start of next year.
