A café owner in Keighley, West Yorkshire came upon an unusual way to promote his business earlier this week. He bought a Euromillions ticket for the draw on 13th November 2012, which had an estimated jackpot of £136 / €169 million and decided, in a bid to boost his business’ Facebook page, to share the jackpot to anyone who liked the photo, should he win. Shopkeeper Tried to Steal Grandmothers Winnings

A dishonest shopkeeper has this week been convicted of trying to claim a Grandmother’s life changing winnings as his own. 77 year old Maureen Holt whose 80 year old husband still works for a security firm took her lottery ticket into the Best One Convenience Store in Oldham but shopkeeper Farrakh Nizzar aged 30 checked the ticket and told her she was not a winner even through she had actually struck it lucky on the EuroMillions millionaire raffle. The hunt is on to find a Euromillions winner who has yet to come forward and claim their prize. The National Lottery are trying to locate the owner of the Millionaire Raffle ticket that was purchased for the draw that took place on Friday 18th May when eighteen lucky winners were made instant millionaires in just in one night. The Nottinghamshire couple scooped a massive £40,627,241 on Friday 20th January but have no plans to quit work or move out of the six bedroom dream home self employed builder Gareth built for them in Mansfield. The lucky pair’s good fortune was a total fluke after Mr Bull bought the winning Euromillions ticket on a whim after he was unable to work one day because of the terrible weather.
